North Africa

geographical name

region of northernmost Africa usually considered to include Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya and sometimes also Egypt and Sudan

Note: The term North Africa is used with this meaning primarily in reference to ancient Rome's African colonies west of Egypt and to the 1942–43 campaign of World War II in which the Allies defeated all German and Italian forces in Africa.
